This past weekend Bruno and Owen went with some friends up to Chicago. I stayed home with the littlest two Pereiras. On Friday night, I gave them a bath together...
Behold Kaila's chubbiness:
Look at her silly face! Oh I love my babies.
On Saturday we went to the Magic House Children's Museum and Costco. Finally, exhausted we spent the rest of the evening chillin at home. Throughout the day I kept thinking... this is too easy with two! Sometimes going out with all three is too much, but for the most part I've adjusted pretty darn good, if I do say so myself! I love how good of friends Owen and Alex are and how they are both amazingly gentle and sweet with Kaila. Still. After 5 months!
While we were at the Magic House, they had an area for children under 2, and part of it had a scale for babies. Kaila weighs 16 pounds!
Sunday, everything went really smoothly, which I was anticipating it not, since I was doing sharing time. BUT, both children were angels and by the time we got home and I made dinner, Bruno and Owen were already back! I love having moments like this past weekend where I can appreciate my boys more and I can also spend some more individualized attention with the younger ones.
It also makes me kinda nervous. I hear about and read about families that lose a mother or father or little baby and I feel a little nervous like, "My life is too good. I hope I don't have to endure that kind of trial." And I feel it's not really an appropriate thing to pray for either... So I'm not sure what to do with those nervous/heartbroken/thankful feelings when I read the stories. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Anyway... different subject:
You know how little boy's ties are hard to come by? We have a couple clip ons and a couple zip-up ones, but my friend, Rebeca, from Tiny Looks Kids Boutique makes this variety:
My unbiased review? They are very well-made, very reasonably priced ($10) as easy to remove (if not easier) than a zip-tie, and they stay on a lot longer than clip or zip ties because Alex doesn't know how to take them off! haha! Only thing is you have to know how to tie a tie, but that is super easy, so that isn't a negative in my book.
Happy Monday everyone!
