Kindergarten!

Today was the first day of Kindergarten for Owen. 

7:30am: Owen woke up (usually wakes up at 8:30) and dressed himself in the clothes he laid out the night before (he usually stays in his underwear half the day. What! It's hot here!).

7:45: Owen is ready to go and is already saying his goodbyes to everyone. I tell him he still has another hour before we have to leave.

7:51: I hear him explaining to Alex that he won't be able to play with him anymore because he will be going to school now.

7:56: I start making french toast for breakfast, while Owen looks at the clock and asks, "Is it time to go to school yet?" :)

8:15: Owen has eaten breakfast and is sitting in the living room, explaining again to Alex that he cannot play with him any more because he is goes to school now.

8:17: Owen comes in the kitchen to tell me he thinks Alex knows that he is going to school because Alex looked sad.

8:38: Owen tells me he really really needs to go to school now. He is gonna be late!!!! I assure him we have plenty of time, since the school is 5 minutes away and it doesn't start till 9.

8:55: We arrive at his school, and as we near his classroom, he doesn't even look back to us, and just says, "Bye!" I have to remind him to give me a hug, so he does, but one of those I'm-too-big-to-show-affection-half-hugs. Little stink. :)
