So now... onward and upward!
My brother, Charlie, and his little girl, Cassie, came to visit us mid-July. Charlie's wife, Cheryl, couldn't come because of work, but we missed you Cheryl!
That was too much fun to see her play with Owen and Alex. She is not what I'd call a girly-girl either (which I think is good), because she loved the rough and tumble play that Owen would do ALL THE TIME. She is far more advanced physically and verbally than Alex (despite only being 2 weeks apart), but they still had tons of fun together!
This is a little blurry, but too cute not to post. Cassie and Owen were back seat buds.
After a visit up the arch. It was soooo hot outside and not air conditioned enough inside, which made for cranky babies... or rather just cranky Alex :)
Charlie got awesome seats to the Cardinals/Dodgers game and took this sweet picture of downtown St Louis!
We also went to the pool while they were here. It was Cassie's first time at the pool, and she loved it! A little kid came up looking for his mom and Cassie was helpful and was pointing him in the direction he should go ;)
Now comes some pictures I stole off of Charlie's camera of his trip to visit Lisa. Lisa and Joel are pretty cool, but their son, Pete? I just can't get enough pictures of him. He is the perfect mixture of cute and cool. I also have a feeling that Pete and Alex would be best friends if they knew each other. They both are kinda baldies, and they both have gapped teeth (which means they are out-going) and they both like to screech like pterodactyls, and they are about the same height and weight! I really miss that little dude. I haven't seen him personally in almost a year, when he was still a skinny little baby that slept most of the time. Now he's big and chunkier and cuter (no offense Lisa-- he was a cute baby then, but he's cuter now!) So here are some of my favorite pictures of Pete from my brother's trip to Oregon.
My other brother, Ben, and Pete have the same look on their face here:
I just love they way he's looking out of the corner of his eye here. He's probably savvy to his mom's antics and was keeping an eye on her.
